Damian & Niomi- Engagement

When I found out that Damian, a good friend of ours was getting married to his sweet girlfriend (now fiancee!) Niomi, I was so super excited to hear the news! Damian has been a dear friend to us for many years and he was a groomsman on our big day- so when I found out they were about to tie the knot- I immediately offered to take some engagement shots for these two lovebirds.

 

As you can see, they are so adorable together. I've known Damian for a while and he always brings a smile to my face with his funny expressions and silly jokes that have lasted the test of time!   Niomi is the perfect balance to Damian and I'm so incredibly happy for them.  Plus, they make great models for a photo session!

Ursula & Andy- Wedded Bliss

I've known Ursula since my freshman year of college. In fact, she & I were college roommates back when I was quite the party animal during my freshman year! Over the years we have kept in touch even though she lives a few hours away, and I was super excited when I got the text message that she was engaged.

This past weekend, her big day finally arrived and I was very happy to take some shots for her!



A fellow artistic soul like me, I wasn't surprised when Ursula told me that she did all of her own flowers and decorations for the church!


Oh, and the cake!!! Let me tell you about the cake. I think it was the BEST wedding cake I have EVER tasted. DELICIOUS. Scott & I were both kicking ourselves because we didn't take to-go plates of it!

Ursula & Andy- We are SO HAPPY for you guys and we wish ya'll many years of bliss and happiness! Congratulations on your marriage, your soon to be new house, and have a great time in Cozumel!

Wedded Bliss- Heather & Eric

If you recall, back in February, I introduced you to my good friends Heather & Eric when I took their Engagement Pictures. I was so happy when they got engaged last May while on a gondola in Venice that I couldn't wait to capture their wedding.

Last Friday, I had the great pleasure of being a guest AND a guest photographer at their wedding. As part of my gift to these two lovebirds who I adore, I shot photos for them. As you can see, these two are so adorable and in love and put on a great wedding ceremony.


As soon you can see, Heather was a beautiful bride. It certainly isn't hard to take good pictures when your subjects are gorgeous!



Their wedding was at Our Lady of the Rosary Church and their reception was at the Pavilion of Two Sisters at City Park. Their celebration was a blast and I'm glad I could have been a part of it and that I was able to capture their day in pictures.

Dominach Family

This past weekend, I was able to shoot the beautiful Dominach family at New Orleans City Park. Scott has known Jude for many years- since they were kids, and I was honored when Andrea asked me to take their family portraits. Of course, I was up for the challenge of getting shots of Andrea, Jude, and their three sons, Cullen, Aidan, and Roman.




Of course, the boys had me on my toes most of the time, but they were very cute and fun to get pictures of! You could tell that they are a very tightly knit family and I think it shines through their pictures.

I had a great time taking their pictures and I looked forward to watching these boys grow up even more over the years! Thanks ya'll for being so fun to work with!

Kelly's Maternity Session

When my oldest & dearest friend Kelly gave me the great news that she was pregnant last July- I was very excited for her- and because I knew she would be an amazing mother. Of course, I took dibs on taking her maternity shots, too!

This past weekend, I shared the dibs with some friends from college (and sisters!) who are also photographers. We all got together to shoot maternity pics of Kelly at a classic New Orleans venue- Audubon Park.

It was great fun, hanging out with friends, shooting photos, and sharing the joy of Kelly's upcoming little bundle of joy.

Thanks Melissa and Danielle for coming along and shooting with me! It was GREAT fun and we MUST do it again.
And THANK YOU KELLY for being such a trooper! Hopefully we'll get to take more pics again soon- when little Baby P arrives! After all, I'm sure you loved seeing this all day, right?

Heather & Eric's Engagements

When my dear friend Heather got engaged to Eric last May, I was so ecstatic and happy for her! Especially since she & Eric met at a party we threw a few years ago. Of course, when I heard the happy news, I told them I would love it if they allowed me to take engagement shots of them- and fortunately they agreed!



Here are some of my favorites from their shoot, which we did at the end of January in the French Quarter. The weather was beautiful and Heather & Eric were so much fun to work with.
