Fisher Family Portraits

I had the joy of shooting photos of the Fisher Family, Carrie, Zane & Laura, a little over a week ago, at Audubon Park.

Audubon Park is by far one of my most favorite places in New Orleans and it is always a great place to get pictures- so of course, I was happy when they wanted to take their pictures there.

When I wasn't cracking up at how much little Laura laughed and smiled, I was having a ball taking pictures of this adorable and happy family. You can definitely see that Laura is the light of her parents' eyes.

Thanks Carrie, Zane & Laura for a great session! I am looking forward to getting more photos for you guys in the future!

Emily

Last Friday, I had so much fun shooting photos of little Emily, who will be turning two very soon! Emily was a ball to shoot pictures of- she's so playful and happy- so it was easy to capture some great images.

I also got a few pictures of her parents, too, but clearly, Emily was the star of the show!

Thanks Kim, Philip and Emily for the fun afternoon at the park! It was fun working with you guys and I hope to do more portraits for you in the future!

Miramar Beach, Florida

A few months ago, Scott & I decided a nice long weekend at the beach was something that we wanted (and needed) for a little rest & relaxation. Living on the Gulf Coast- nothing seems better than heading to the Northwest Florida Coast- otherwise known as the "Emerald Coast" for a long weekend visit.

There is just something special about the Emerald Coast- most notably- is its sugar white sand and the greenish-blue glistening glow of the water there. While you are there- sometimes you forget that you're not in the Caribbean or some other exotic locale. It's just that special.
The weather was perfect for our visit- not too hot- and the beach was busy, but not too crowded.

Of course, I couldn't go to the beach without my camera to capture a few shots of one of my favorite places - the beaches in & around Destin, Florida. We stayed in Miramar Beach, which is a little bit down the road from Destin- and just as breathtaking.

Our second night there, we were able to capture this beautiful sunset as we walked along the beach after dinner.

We had a fantastic time- and we're already making plans to go back sometime in the late summer/early fall.

And I can't take credit for these last two photos- the first was taken by a nice lady who returned the favor when I got a picture of her with her friends- and the second was taken by my husband, Scott. :) Since Scruffy wasn't allowed on the beach- we stood at the top of the boardwalk and got a shot of him- I had to capture the fact that he was near the beach!
