Scruffy- Pet Portraits

My photographic subjects are not limited to people. I don't have any children- but I do have a dog that I think of as my son. Many of my friends and family will tell you that my dog, Scruffy, believes that he is human and acts accordingly.... and that I treat him that way, too! He's spoiled rotten!

I especially enjoy shooting pets. So, if you're like me and you have an animal that you're especially fond of- I can do portraits with them too! I especially like shooting pictures of animals and pets- well, because animals are sometimes the most amazing creatures to capture on film! They aren't preoccupied with how they look and they are just themselves. This creates some of the most genuine and beautiful images! It is sometimes very easy to capture a pet's personality, simply by capturing them with the camera.




As you can see, Scruffy is a ham. He will look right at the camera as soon as the words "pizza," "steak," or "biscuit" are mentioned. I captured these shots the other day when the weather was just gorgeous out. He, of course, took to the camera as though he were a supermodel.

Like I mentioned before, portraits are not almost limited to kids and families. Sometimes, the most amazing portraits are those of our furry (or notsofurry) friends.
