From then on, I constantly took pictures. (much to the dismay of my subjects-after all, who wants a flashbulb in their face ALL THE TIME?) At the time, my photographic ability was quite limited. But I tried to capture every moment, even if I didn't do a great job!
Time passed on and I kept on shooting-
Then, in 2004, my husband bought me my first digital SLR and so the journey began. It started as a hobby- something for me to learn in my free time. Photography went hand in hand with my love of travel, and the new camera gave me the freedom to capture our travels in a beautiful and exciting way. After that, I found myself shooting photos of friends, their kids, and of my family along with my travels. I studied the craft, read books, joined forums and learned from others.
Every day is a learning experience for me when it comes to photography. I am constantly attempting to force myself to "think outside the box" and create images that capture attention AND emotion. It is with that hope that I will continue to grow and create images that are surely outside the box.
I hope you will join me on my continuous journey to strengthen as an artist and photographer while I feature some of my current work!
